About Gracehill

Ordinary people, extraordinary grace.

Since 1994 we’ve been a church in West Asheville for West Asheville: worshipping together, caring for each other and serving our neighbors.

Since 1994

Our story

  1. 01 1994

A living room on Brevard Road

Five families start meeting to pray for their neighborhood.

  2. 02 2003

    An old warehouse becomes home

We renovate a textile warehouse on Haywood Road with volunteer labor.

  3. 03 2012

    The food pantry opens

What started as one shelf now serves 300 families a week.

  4. 04 2024

    Two Sunday gatherings

We add an 11:00am service and launch twelve new small groups.

Beliefs

What we believe

Gracehill is a non-denominational church rooted in the historic Christian faith. Here are the essentials we hold together.

01 God One God, eternally existing as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who made all things and loves all he has made.
02 Jesus Fully God and fully human. He lived, died and rose again so that anyone can be forgiven and made new.
03 The Bible God’s inspired word, trustworthy and true, and our guide for faith and life.
04 Grace We are saved by grace through faith, not by anything we earn, so no one is beyond hope.
05 The Church A family of every background, called to love God, love each other and serve our city.
06 Hope Jesus will return to make all things new. Until then, we live with hope and work for good.
